GOING CIRCULAR
Nowadays only 1% of textiles remains in a closed cycle where new clothes are made out of textile waste. 73% end up in landfills or are incinerated and 12% are recycled - going to 2nd hand stores or downcycled, e.g. cleaning items. 12% are lost in the production process and another 2% lost during the recycling process.
For the future we envision a zero-waste industry where resources are used in a closed loop. This can be achieved by using fewer virgin and more recycled materials, by making products last, by repairing and reusing them. And last but not least by consuming less.
